We are Vinokilo. We are a growing team on a mission to make secondhand fashion more desirable than new, fast fashion. 

Our HQ is based in Bodenheim, a beautiful town in the middle of wine country, 12 km south of downtown Mainz on the edge of the Frankfurt Rhine Main-Region. Our proximity to the airport and our central European location makes us open to the world. We operate our event business all across Europe. 

The impact you will create on Vinokilo

New location search & opening:

  • Manage operational efforts behind new store openings
  • Recruit team members to work in our new stores
  • Plan floor and merchandise activities related to new openings

Daily store Operations Management:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of multiple Vinokilo vintage clothing stores, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain consistency and high standards across all stores.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock control, replenishment, and visual merchandising to maximise sales and create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Monitor store expenses, budgets, and financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimise profitability.

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Train, motivate, and lead store teams to deliver exceptional customer service and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure store staff are well-versed in Vinokilo’s brand story, product knowledge, and sustainable fashion practices to provide knowledgeable assistance to customers.

Team Management and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new store staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Set performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team members’ skills and development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, addressing any performance issues and recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement among store staff.

What we need you to have

  • Strong knowledge and passion for vintage clothing and sustainable fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and meet/exceed targets.
  • Good Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as per store operations.
  • You speak german and english fluently.

  • Proven experience as a Retail Manager or similar role, preferably in the fashion or retail industry
